Qualifications or Certifications – Various (required - minimum of 1)
Mandatory Reporting Accreditation (not a compulsory field). However, CEWA schools require this accreditation before they offer you relief work. Therefore, if you have a Number, Date and Document that shows you are accredited, then you should insert what you have.

Accreditation to Teach RE for CEWA is preferred but not essential.

Preferred Schools - Select the 'Schools Locator' Tab under the Relief Staff Heading on the Menu Bar and identify our current RSM Schools. Use this as a guide to choose your Preferred Schools when registering.
All Relief Teachers:
Teachers Registration Board (WA) - Letter of Grant or Statement of Registration:
Number, Date & Letter of Grant or Statement of Registration (required by all relief teachers).
We no longer accept TRBWA's Non-Practising and Limited Registration as a Teaching Status.

All Relief Teachers / EA’s / OSHC Carers / Childcare:

All Relief EA’s / OSHC Carers / Childcare and Relief Teachers wanting to teach in Education Department of Western Australia Schools:
SCN Letter from the Department of Education:
An SCN is required by all Education Assistants, EA Special Needs, OSH Carers, School Officers, Cleaners and Teachers wanting to Teach in EDWA schools).
An SCN is not required by Teachers wanting to only Teach in CEWA Schools.
Schools do not accept an SCN Letter with a Volunteer status. You will have to update it to a Paid status before you submit the document.
If you do have a SCN Letter, and you want to work as an Education Assistant and/or Education Assistant (Special Needs), we use CEWA’s Appointment of Staff Policy for Non-Teaching Staff as follows for CEWA, EDWA and all other Schools:
Clause 5.1.3.4 National Police History Check - For applicants employed with the WA Catholic system, where there is no gap of more than 6 months in their employment, a NPHC is considered current if it is not more than 36 months old.
